Do you have a website that only a few stray individuals have seen? Do you want to increase the traffic of your website? One reason why you aren’t getting the expected number of visitors on your site would be that you have not promoted your website or maybe you have tried promoting it, but failed.

Websites need to be advertised and endorsed in order for it to be viewed by the market, a lot of website development efforts have gone to waste because the owner failed to advertise the site. Though other websites have been advertised but still did not get favorable results because it was not given much consideration. Promotion is the key to increase both visitor and transaction traffic, so you need to prioritize the promotion of your site.  Here are tree (3) steps that you can follow in order for your website to reach its target audience.

First, you need to develop an Internet Marketing Plan. You need to check your objectives for making the website and how it fits to your current situation. If you are running a “click and mortar business” or maybe you are purely making business online and do not have a physical store, you might have created the site to save on customer service while improving it or to broaden your base of customers, distributors, or suppliers or simply find just the right employees. You also have to identify your target audience and what typically appeals to them. Even if the Internet reaches the world, the world is not your audience, but only its specific section.

Second, you need to Tell Everyone About It. If you are not familiar with how to market your website online, there are companies who are more than willing to advertise your site for just a minimal cost. Some companies promote your site through forum posting and adding a link to your site on the signature section of the post, a number of them promote your link through advertisements on social networking sites and still a few others promote your website through emails

And lastly, In order for you to determine whether your efforts have paid off, you need to Measure Progress with Log Analysis. Log files help you record and track the activities on your site. Access logs let you know how many times your site have been viewed while transaction logs show the number of transactions with your clients.

There you have it; in just 3 Easy Steps you can solve the traffic problem of your site. Always remember that putting your website on the top 10 of any search engine doesn’t happen  overnight, so just be sure to give your company’s website and other net marketing tools enough time to grow.
